Is anybody there?

Egads.  It’s been sooo long since I posted anything, I’ve forgotten how to operate creating a blog.  After struggling with logging in, I tend to lose any interest in doing anything.

That said – I’m doing better physically than last time, but frustrated with current politics so much that I’ve logged off from Facebook for a few months. The treatment of the children being held by ICE upsets me so much that I can’t sleep, and the behavior of our so-called ‘leaders’ is despicable.

So what else?  My granddaughter, Zoe, has turned one, and my great-grandson, Ares, is almost 18 months.  A real treat to be with them. Feels like they are the only reason I’m sane.

Unfortunately, writing has taken a back, back seat. Have one story about 70% drafted, but haven’t touched it for months.  I guess I’m sounding depressed.  Enough of all this.

Respond, if you can, and at least let me know you’re reading.  That’s all for now.

  2. Alice, Have missed your blog. Noted that the world seems to be spinning out of control here, too. Wish there was something positive and definitive we could do to improve our world. Just haven’t found it yet. Am sending positive love your way. The Nancys in Corrales, New Mexico. 😍 Hang in there. Things will change for the better.

  3. Hi Alice,

I’ve been keeping up with you on FB, but I seldom post. Not even to my brother, unfortunately. I’ve pretty well stopped reading the news because it causes too much stress, which I gave up when I retired at the end if 2017.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been ti SOLA for the past 2 months so don’t know if you were there or not. My husband had a cancer scare recently, and we spent so much time in doctors’ offices and the hospital over the past two months due to complications, but his biopsy came back negative last week, for which I am grateful. He Just need follow-up CTs to monitor the tumor’s growth.

Attendance at the SOLA meetings has been low this year. Probably due to the new rules. It makes me sad. We had such a good group.

I’m hoping to set up my own website soon. Just need to nail down the business side of self-publishing, which was put on hold the past 2 months.

I hope to be at this month’s meeting.

  4. We are enduring the Chinese curse – “May you live in interesting times”. It’s frustrating, infuriating, and heartbreaking. But then there’s the kids and grandkids – they are the reason we keep moving forward!
